How do I get my race number?
Only one race number will be provided. Please ensure you have a race belt, these will be on sale at the event or you can re-pin your number which must be at the front for the run and on your back for the bike.
Where can I park?
There are designated parking areas around the race venue. See parking plans to be added to website nearer the time.
Are there toilets?
Toilets near the race start are located near the small lake. Permanent toilets plus temporary toilets will be provided.
Is there a first aid area?
UDPS have been contracted to provide first aid. If you require attention please signal to an official who will help get the right people to you. If you see another competitor in difficulty please do the same.
Are there any post-race recovery areas?
A group of wonderful volunteers are ready and waiting to help you at the finish line. There will be a selection of snacks and drinks as well as some masseurs.
Are there any age limits?
Following the National and International rules and regulations for maximum distance per age the races are limited to the following;
- Olympic: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run – 18 years and above
- Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run – 16 years and above
- Super Sprint: 300m swim, 5km bike, 2km run – 12 years and above
- TriStars: 100m swim, 2km bike, 500m run – 8 to 12 years
What are the award categories?
After the event, prizes will be awarded to the following categories;

What are the arrangements at the transition area?
Please see the event schedule for transition closing times. Bike racks will be numbered for the Olympic & Sprint race and positioning of numbers and racks will be at the discretion of the race organisers.

How is the official timing managed?
Timing chips will provided to all competitors in the Olympic, Sprint and XS events. If your timing chip is lost you will be required to pay a 20€ fee.
The TriStars event will not be timed.
When is registration and equipment pick-up?
Registration and gear pickup will take place at the Hôtel du Lac, Montriond. Please see the schedule for timings.
What are the rules for teams?
Teams can be made up of 3 members and male or females. Each team must register an entry for each section of the triathlon. Teams of 2 participants are not allowed because of transportation and logistical complications because of the split transition format.
Where are the aid stations?
On the Olympic, there will be an aid station at the foot of the Avoriaz climb and approx 4km into the run on the Olympic. These aid stations will have water, coke and bananas. All athletes are encouraged to carry their own fuel and drinks through the events. The aid stations will also have a littering area. Littering in other parts of the course is not acceptable and will results in disqualification.
What will the water temperature be?
Lac Montriond can range from 15 to 24 degrees throughout August and September. We will be posting water temperature updates on our Facebook page during the weeks prior to the event.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Please take the insurance offered to you when you enter, or take your own personal insurance. We do not offer refunds in the event of an injury but this is covered in our partner’s insurance policy.
